When the Christmas decor comes down, things seem a little barren. I’ve added a few LOVEly touches to the house to make it a bit more welcoming. Welcome to my Valentine’s Home Tour.
A few weeks ago my sweet friend Stacy invited me to participate in a home tour featuring Valentine’s Day decor. I am so excited to join her!
Once you’ve toured my space, you’ll find links to the other tours – don’t miss out, they’re fantastic!
Valentine’s Home Tour
I moved into my house in July, so it’s still a bit of a work in progress. Then again, I don’t know that I will ever be done decorating. I love to tweak things here and there, even after a room is finished.
This is the first home I’ve had that’s had a proper porch and it’s one of the first “spaces” I worked on. I’ve loved dressing it up for Halloween and Christmas, so I couldn’t skip out on adding a little something for Valentine’s Day.
I scaled things back quite a bit and just decorated the doorway.
I came across the ribbon banner above my door at Target and it was love at first sight. How could I possibly pass up Valentine’s decor that so perfectly matched my door? Really, it helped provide direction for the rest of my holiday decorating. I’ve incorporated the coral pink, red, white and gold throughout my home.
In addition to the ribbon garland, I cut out some exes and ohs with my Cricut to make things extra Valentiney.
Rather than change out my entire entryway each season, I’ve decorated in black and white. While a little color often makes its way in, things remain pretty neutral.
The only additions I made to this space include the fun “love” pillow I picked up at Target, a bit of candy and some shadowbox art. Though, I change out my chalkboard (center) and light box (bottom) for each holiday/season.
You can find a similar chalkboard for about $10 here.
You can find the light box here.
A couple of candy jars, flowers and a small shadow box I picked up at Walmart for $2 complete the entryway table.
On the opposite wall, I have a large 20×20 shadowbox that I change out for each holiday. I started with a Halloween spider specimen art and most recently made this cute Valentine wishes piece.
During the Christmas holidays, I had wreaths and decor up in the kitchen. I have to admit to enjoying the start white clean of my kitchen once again. I’ve kept it simple with a few red accent pieces.
The adorable red Mason Jar-style cookie jar is from World Market. I picked up a pack of red and white towels at Target, as well as this cute cake plate (it was in the dollar section, can you believe it?).
One of my favorite items in the kitchen area is this black and white letter board. I love changing out the sayings on a whim.
You can purchase this exact letter board here.
I’ve also kept my dining room simple this holiday season, just keeping a neutral bunch of fresh flowers out to soften the space up.
Though it transitions really simply with a tablecloth and some flowers…
I love my family room. It is flooded with golden sunlight from morning through late afternoon. It’s a fantasticly perfect place to chill.
This room is anchored with denim – I am kind of a denim freak. The rug is jute, woven with denim and I almost always have denim pillows out on the couch.
This year I added a couple of subtle DIY Valentine’s Day pillows to the mix. The “cuddle weather” and “Netflix and Chill” pillows both cost less than $10. Yay!

I kept the mantel pretty simple with a few fun printables, candy and a couple of garlands.
