Galentine’s Day Brunch

Hello lovers! It’s time to celebrate your favorite gal pals with a fun Galentine’s Day Brunch! We’re sharing some fun brunch ideas + a $200 giveaway so that you can host a party of your own.
Galentine's Day Brunch Ideas. This sounds like so much fun!

The other day my friend Jen and I decided to throw together a quick little Galentine’s Day brunch for a few friends. When our friend Amber, over at Fun Squared, invited us to participate in a fun Valentine’s party showcase and giveaway, I knew it was time to share some of the photos from our party.

Unfamiliar with Galentine’s Day? It first popped onto the scene five or six years ago on Parks and Rec, when everyone’s dream bestie, Leslie Knope, announced a day of ladies celebrating ladies. Traditionally it’s celebrated the day before Valentine’s Day.

We kept it simple with a fairly traditional Galentine’s meal – a waffle bar!

We wanted the food to be fresh and warm when our guests arrived for our Galentine’s Day brunch, so we didn’t want to start cooking the food too early. We set up a fun little photo booth to keep them busy while we finished things up…

We stayed within the Parks and Rec theme, with another fun quote from the show in banner form. Our “Treat Yo’ Self” banner was the perfect addition to the party. We also placed a few fun photo props and prints in the space for our friends to play with and use in their photos.

Jen came up with the genius wafflecone centerpieces and the fun tablecloth for the Galentine’s Day brunch. The entire set up took less than 15 minutes and blended in perfectly with the other Valentine’s decor in my home.

Some adorable heart shaped waffles (get the waffle iron here), with a dozen toppings and you’ve got yourself a fantastic waffle bar!

In addition to waffles, Leslie always has her friends nosh on a frittata. We went with a simpler dish – an overnight sausage and egg bake. This dish is SUPER filling and so easy to put together. Truthfully it’s good for a lady breakfast or a hungry family!
