This fun print and cut turkey toes gift tag makes for a great topper to your package or can easily be used as a Thanksgiving place card at the kid’s table this year.

I mentioned the other day that we hosted “Fakesgiving” this year. The girls will be out-of-town for the actual holiday, but that doesn’t mean that we have to miss stuffing ourselves silly together. This year rather than putting out the china, I set a more casual table. It was fun and I didn’t worry about slipping and dropping an expensive dish (I am THAT clumsy!).
While these fun glittered pumpkin place cards still would have worked out, I took a break from fancy. Jay’s girls are teens, but that doesn’t mean they can’t appreciate these cute little turkey toes gift tags and candy corn as a little table favor…
Turkey Toes Gift Tag
I don’t know what it is about candy corn this time of year, but I always manage to eat a handful. They’re such a traditional treat for Halloween, but I always like to use them for Thanksgiving as well (and bonus – they’re on sale!). I’ve always thought they looked like little turkey toes. LOL.
I’ve packaged them up with a similar tag in the past, but I’ve never gotten around to sharing this fun treat here on the blog. I don’t really have littles running around anymore so it’s probably about time!
To recreate this project you will need:
Print + Cut Turkey Toes Gift Tag
Color Printer (I use this one.)
White Coated Cardstock (I use this brand.)
Paper Trimmer (I use this one.)
Hole Punch (This one is killer.)
Baker’s Twine or Orange Washi Tape
Candy Tubes
Candy Corn
Orange Le Pen
Download the print and cut turkey toes gift tag. Send the file to print on your color printer or the local print shop. There are six tags per sheet. I always like to print out an extra sheet JUST IN CASE!
Trim up the gift tags. I am a huge fan of my Fiskars trimmer. It’s perfect for projects like this that need a precision cut, but if you have a steady hand these tags could easily be cut out with scissors.
Once your tags are cut, punch a small hole in the top so that they can be tied to your candy corn package. I use my Crop-a-Dile (it’s a must have craft supply) for projects like this. It can punch through anything, even 12 cardstock gift tags in one punch!
Once the gift tags were ready to go, I used one of my favorite pens to write in names on the front of the card so they could be used as place cards.
Fill candy tubes (or similar container) with candy corn. Tie the turkey toes gift tag to the outside of the container using Baker’s Twine.
You’re all ready to go with a fun, filled place card for the kids!
