There’s nothing better than finding a recipe that’s easy to make, delicious to eat and is fancy enough for special occasions…
This last week we had our “formal” Halloween dinner and one of our featured dishes was mummy skin…a.k.a parmesan crisps with hummus.
Parmesan crisps are super-easy to make and they can dress up almost any meal. I tend to make them more in the winter since they go so well with soup.
Parmesan Crisps Recipe
Ingredients and supplies:
grated parmesan cheese
parchment paper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (if you have a Silpat, that would work even better).
Pour parmesan cheese onto the parchment paper and pat down evenly. In this instance I used just over a cup of cheese.
Bake for 3-5 min. until golden, remove from oven and cool for about 2 min. Remove from pan.
If you want a thicker crisp, you can add a little flour to the mixture, but don’t love the taste as much.
I have also baked these at a lower temperature (about 375) for a longer time (about 5-10 min.).
These worked out perfect for our Halloween dinner and the kids even chowed them down plain! Love it when that works out…
Wish I would have thought to serve these with some spooky tomato soup…Maybe next year.
Do you have any go to recipes that you use for entertaining?
These look yummy!
