You may have noticed the fun, new paint-dipped trend appearing everywhere recently, from furniture to utensils, vases, bags and pretty much anything else you can think of…
I came across these bright color-dipped pumpkins from Sweet C’s Designs which became the inspiration for my glitter-dipped pumpkin place card holders for Thanksgiving.
I love to use place cards at parties and especially for special occasions such as Thanksgiving and Christmas since you usually have large family gatherings for these holidays. My kids always enjoy looking for their name at the table. Typically I just print out a cute place card, but these pumpkins were really easy to make and will dress up your Thanksgiving table just a bit more.
How to make Thanksgiving place card holders
To make the place card holders you will need the following:
Supplies:
Mini white pumpkins
Glitter
Glue
Adhesive spray
Instructions
1. Apply glue to bottom half of pumpkin.
2. Sprinkle glitter over glue area.
3. Let glitter dry for approximately 30 minutes.
4. Spray with adhesive & let dry completely.
Now that your pumpkins are done, you just need to create your place card. You can simply print out your guest’s names on a piece of white cardstock (using a pretty font, of course), or you can download, edit and print out these darling striped place cards that Kori at Paper & Pigtails created for DIY Network.
I wrapped my napkin with a paper doily before placing my pumpkin on it because even though I sprayed the pumpkin with adhesive, some glitter still comes off the pumpkins. That way you don’t have glitter all over your napkin, which would then end up on your face…not fun!
