Cherry Chip Muddy Buddies
Have you tried Cherry Chip cake? It’s the best! (Danetta hadn’t tried it until this week when we made these muddy buddies and also whipped up a batch of Cherry Chip Whoopie Pies.) It’s SO good! If you have tried it, you already know that. If you haven’t-you’ll want to today. And then you can thank us.
So…these muddy buddies are very simple to make and will taste like a cherry chip cake.
We’re also going to show you a fun way to package them up cute and give them to a friend or your sweetheart for Valentine’s Day!
Who wouldn’t want to get that right?! Let’s make some of these!
Cherry Chip Muddy Buddies:
Ingredients:
- 9 C Rice Chex
- 2 C white chocolate chips (or, for a fun twist, use pink melting chocolates)
- 1 C cherry chip cake mix
- 1/2 C powdered sugar
- Valentine’s sprinkles
Instructions:
Pour your Rice Chex into a large bowl and set it aside.
Melt your chocolate by microwaving it for 1-2 minutes, stopping every 30 seconds or so to stir it and then continuing until it is completely melted.
Pour over your Rice Chex and mix thoroughly until the cereal is evenly coated.
Pour your cake mix and powdered sugar in and stir until evenly combined.
Toss some Valentine’s sprinkles on for fun and you are all set!
Valentine’s Tags:
Now let’s package them up all cute with the tags we showed you! We have two versions-one says I Love you and one just Happy Valentine’s.
You can right click and save these to your computer, then open in a program like Word or Pages and size how you want and print. OR, we have a PDF with several of them on it all set to print already!
We put ours in a mason jar. What would you package them in?
Have FUN making and eating and giving these muddy buddies! And, come have FUN with us at Fun-Squared! You can also find us on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest!
