Typically I am not much of a Walmart shopper, but my friends this Valentine’s Day season they are killing it with great products that are absolutely on trend. The other day Amy stopped in to purchase a few things and found little packages of brightly colored eye glasses for just 98 cents.
Cute and cheap? Items like that just beg to be turned into a project. It wasn’t long before these fun print and cut heart eyes Valentine’s goodies were born.
Heart Eyes Valentine’s
Back in the olden days, when I was a child, Valentine’s treats consisted of all sorts of goodies handmade and store bought. Food poisoning, allergies and health issues have all contributed to the current atmosphere and sometimes a food free option for the classroom is simply the easiest. In that case, these heart eyes Valentine’s are perfect.
Supplies:
Heart Eyes Valentine File White
Heart Eyes Valentine File Red
Plastic Eyeglasses
Cardstock
Color Printer
Paper Trimmer
Plastic Candy Bags
Baker’s Twine
Print and cut the heart eyes Valentine file on a colored printer. I like to use my HP for small projects like this one, but you can also run to the print shop for a quick job.
Package the Valentine’s up for distribution. We packaged our glasses up two ways. The most simple option is to simply take a bit of baker’s twine and tie it around the glasses.
Looking for something a bit more decked out? Slip the glasses into plastic candy bags with a bigger tag and tie them with a ribbon.
Once they’re all packaged and ready to go, you’ve got great food free Valentine’s for your party or child’s classroom.
