Fall decorating is always a bit interesting around here…In late September when Layla is posting her amazing fall mantel and Kate is hosting her fall mantel linky it’s still 80+ degrees and a bit like summer around here…
And then in October we Utahns kinda throw ourselves into Halloween so I end up decorating the mantel for Halloween.
I finally get around to a true fall mantel in November…
This year, I’ve put together a pretty simple arrangement. I moved my Halloween pumpkins to an apothecary jar, added a few of my pears (I am obsessed with pears. For reals.) and a couple other items that I had on hand…
This year my Thanksgiving mantel celebrates family, because there is nothing I am more grateful for.
I am also enjoying white in fall…
And, I HAD to include the ADORABLE polka dot pumpkin that Jen gave me. She is such a wonderful friend…
I considered adding some bunting or something across the front, but at the end of the day just really liked the clean, simple look.
I also replaced the Halloween bat wreath adorning my front door, with a Thanksgiving wreath I made a few years ago.
I super-love the little bell Thanksgiving figures on this wreath…They’re a little more cutesy than I usually go, but they make me happy.
When do you get all of your Thanksgiving decor up? Do you hop from holiday to holiday like I do, or are you a bit more consistent?
I am mildly obsessed with both mantels and wreaths. You can check out my mantel pin board, as well as my wreath pin board for lots more ideas.
