This sweet 8×10 sewing print, inspired by the Bible, is available for free download.
It’s no secret that I am not much for kids crafts. I like making crafts, I like crafting for kids (most of the time), but I don’t have a TON of patience for crafting WITH kids. So when the Crafting Chicks asked me to participate in their super fun Mother Hen Summer Survival Series, I was a bit hesitant.
It took me a bit of time to think about what would be the RIGHT fit, but I knew that I wanted to create something for sewing week. I am by no means a professional seamstress, but I am so grateful for the early sewing lessons I had as a kid. Those skills have come in handy over the years, especially when it came time to start creating kids Halloween costumes, etc.

Recently while studying the Bible, I was struck by Proverbs 31. It’s a familiar passage that suggests the worth of a woman to be greater than that of rubies. While that particular verse is the most popular, I love a few verses later where it speaks glowingly of a woman who works with her hands willingly. It’s the perfect verse to be translated into a print for the craft studio, particularly the sewing corner.
The print is 8×10 and can easily be printed on your color printer at home or, for a more professional look, print it at a local photo printing shop. Since nearly everyone has an 8×10 frame lying around, it’s a project that comes together very quickly! I framed my print in an Ikea Ribba frame – they’re my favorite.
I am sharing a free download of the print over on the Crafting Chicks site! Hop over and grab it now!
In the meantime, I thought you might enjoy a little sewing-related giveaway…
