DIY Mini Easter Baskets

These mini Easter baskets are simple to put together and look great as a part of Easter place settings or as sweet little gifts for a friend or neighbor.

Mini Easter Baskets - great for small treats or as Easter place settings

It’s a universally acknowledged truth that everything mini is better, which is why these mini Easter baskets are a MUST this holiday. They’re large enough to hold a handful of sweet treats or a colored egg, while remaining small enough that they could easily be used as place settings at a table.

The base of these cute little baskets is an ice cream cup. They can be found online, in the party section of stores or even in the One Spot (is it even called that anymore?) at Target.

Supplies:
Ice Cream Cups
12×12 Cardstock
Glue Dots
Paper Shred
Optional: Xyron Sticker Maker
Happy Easter Print + Cut Tags

These mini Easter baskets come together really quick. You can have several of them done and ready to go in under 30 minutes.

Trim one inch wide basket handles from a white piece of 12x 12 cardstock with your paper trimmer and attach to ice cream cups with glue dots.

Ta da! I know. Rocket science.

Once the basket is put together, it’s time to add the special touch that makes it “Easter-y.” This cute Happy Easter tag.

They Xyron sticker maker is FANTASTIC for projects like this. You might remember I used it in my Mardi Gras treat tags a few months ago.

This time around, we’ve run the Happy Easter tags through the machine so that they could be added to the front of each of the baskets.

Don’t they look great!

Once the tags have been added, it’s time to fill up these little baskets with some paper shred and a few treats.

Can you believe what an easy DIY this is? I love these little mini Easter baskets and can’t wait to share them with friends!

These are super cute! I love a good DIY (that’s not too hard) – ha. I love that they are just the perfect size and not too big because goodness knows we have plenty of candy 🙂 If you’re interested, I think this would make a great addition to a new link up I recently started called Be Clean Be Green With Kids. It’s every Wednesday and I’d love for you to join if you’d like. Thanks! http://www.honestlymodern.com/tag/be-clean-be-green-with-kids/
