Shark Week is coming. The widely popular annual celebration of all things shark begins airing on Discovery, July 23. If you’re like most people me, you’re probably strangely excited. I can’t put a finger on why I choose to subject myself to the horror that inevitably comes with watching eight days of shark centric programming, but I do. Every year.

This year help celebrate the phenomena, I’ve whipped up a free shark week cut file. It’s pretty “jawesome” if I do say so myself.

Jawesome Shark Week Cut File

This past week my niece stayed with me. While she was here, we hosted a crafternoon party. Each of the kids made a bag for all of their pool/swim gear. Most of our guests made this cute “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” tote, but we also had this fun shark image on hand.

To make the tote bags, we cut a mirror image of the free file out on easy weed heat transfer from Expressions Vinyl using a Silhouette and then simply ironed the image on to inexpensive tote bags.

The finished bags are about 14×14 – the perfect size for a rolled up towel, goggles and some sun screen. Though the bag looks great on its own, this Jawesome Shark Week cut file would look equally fantastic on a t-shirt, mug or pillow cover, don’t you think?
