I am a big college football fan. One of my very first Periscope broadcasts took place at Rice Eccles Stadium, home of the University of Utah Utes. The NFL? Not gonna lie. I break out the “team spirit” once a year for the Super Bowl, because…hello, COMMERCIALS!
Today, I’ve teamed up with my friend Jen. We’re both ready to help you get ready for the BIG GAME with super-fun Super Bowl projects.
I am in the midst of a kitchen remodel now, so this year I am keeping it simple. And, it really doesn’t get any easier than this simple 10-minute football banner.
Simple 10 Minute Football Banner Instructions
This banner started with a few simple supplies…
WRMK Banner Punch Board
AC Cardstock (Brown)
White Galaxy Marker
Brown and White Baker’s Twine
I started by quickly punching the size banner I wanted to use.
The banner triangles could easily be cut by hand, but I love the ease and simplicity of using the Banner Punch Board. For under $20 I can create clean, even banners in a couple different shapes and ANY size on the fly in minutes. It’s faster than hand trimming OR using my machine.
Oh, AND it punches little holes so you can string up your banner!
Once my triangle banner pieces were all punched, I took the White Galaxy Marker and created some chalk-like “laces.”
These markers are so easy to use and they give you the chalk look without all of the smudging – they’re permanent.
Once the laces were added, I simply strung up my banner pieces with the Baker’s Twine.
The whole banner took less than 10 minutes. Love that!
If you’re looking for something a bit more deluxe, be sure to hop over to Jen’s site where she’s sharing the most adorable (can you say that about a football related post?) touchdown printables!
