I’ve been thinking a lot about Project Life in the last couple of weeks…I have to be honest. I’ve been “thinking” about it so much, my pages have come to a bit of a standstill.
I am experiencing something like writer’s block for the every day memory keeper…
The funny thing is, it’s not because I don’t have any photos…I’ve earned the title of “mamarazzi,” because the iPhone is always out and at the ready.
It’s not because I can’t journal. I have a couple of lovely cards ready to slip into pockets….
It’ because I am scared by all of the FANTASTIC embellishers out there!
You know who you are…You’ve all been scrapbooking FOREVER, you know how to layer like nobody’s business, you’ve invested as much in one pocket as I have put into three weeks worth of material and you’re having trouble getting your cards to fit in the pockets of your pages.
Here’s the thing I finally remembered. Project Life makes room for you. It allows you the freedom to do what you will with your chipboard and layers, but it also allows room for people like me…You know. The one’s who believe sticking a piece of flair into the center of a 3×4 card is practically genius.
And though I am still going to sigh over the beautiful pages you create and maybe even try a “scraplift” here and there, I am going to be okay with simple.
Rather than sharing the embellished cards I worked so hard to create for this week, I am actually going to share some of the more simple pages that were linked up last week. Sort of a reminder to myself that there is beauty in simplicity too…
Hope you will go and take a closer peek at their full posts!
