It’s hard to believe that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner…I feel like we just barely finished up with Christmas!
We’re welcoming in the holiday with some fun Oreo Love Bugs…one of our favorite treats!
These little guys are super simple and take all of about 10 minutes to complete…
You will need:
- Oreo Cookies
- Wilton Red Candy Melts, 12-Ounce
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Milk Duds
- Wilton Chocolate Hearts Mix 2.5 Ounce Sprinkles
- Wilton(R) 4 Inch Lollipop Sticks
(optional)
Melt the red candy melts in the microwave on high for 1 minute (subsequent heating should be done on 50 percent power).
While the candy coating is still melted, add the Milk Dud, mini chocolate chips and heart sprinkles.
For another take on this sweet treat, pop in a lollipop and coat the entire cookie…
If you love this idea, you’ve gotta stop over at my friend Amy’s site. She’s got Oreo pop type treats for EVERY occasion.
Do you have a favorite Valentine’s Day holiday treat?
That is just plain adorable! Plus, it’s Oreos, can’t go wrong with Oreos. 🙂
Thanks Aimee. I have to admit, I actually prefer my Oreos plain, but these are just so darn cute…

Maegan, so glad you liked our little love bugs. With all boys it can be a little difficult to come up with Valentine’s Day crafts they will like, but they are all over the love bugs 🙂

Oh come on! Can these get any cuter! What a perfect snack to bring to a play date! I’d love for you to share these with my readers if you get a chance. Have a great weekend! http://www.momontimeout.com/2012/02/taking-timeout-thursday-no-15.html
Trish, A play date…I am giggling a bit because my boys are sooo much older than play date age. Luckily, they seem to enjoy them still (or they’re just humoring me). I am glad you liked them!

These are absolutely adorable!!! I love that glass too!!! 🙂
Rachel, Thanks for popping over and leaving a comment. These little love bugs were such a fun project for the boys and I. The glass is actually a dollar store bud vase, isn’t that funny? We bought a whole set 🙂
