We’re big fans of S’mores around here…Big fans. And, it’s fun, to try different versions. I’ve shared our yummy mini S’mores donuts and grown up S’mores. Today I am sharing open-faced S’mores.
I am sure you’re starting to think that the only thing I stock in the pantry is chocolate and marshmallows (it might be partially true), but this is a recipe we all really enjoyed. It really helps that this is a super-easy one.
This version starts with a large fudge cookie purchased from the store. If you wanted to truly be gourmet, you could actually dip graham crackers in chocolate…I am not that fancy.
Added to the cookie were GIANT and I mean GIANT toasted marshmallows.
The key to making these open-faced S’mores work is setting the marshmallow down on the cookie while it’s still piping hot. The heat melts the cookie and adheres the two together.
We had fun letting a little chocolate melt on the top of ours and added some sprinkles to boot. Our open-faced S’mores were absolutely delicious. What’s the craziest way you’ve eaten a S’more?!
