Spruce Up Your Entry Way For Spring

Spruce Up Your Entry Way For Spring

Hey, hey Snappy peeps!  It’s Jessica from Mom 4 Real back to share another fun, colorful project!  I am sooooo ready for better weather…hasn’t this been the longest winter ever? I’ve been adding springy touches all over our home, but when I walked in our front door the other day, I realized that the first impression of our home was just blah.  So, I decided to do a spring spruce up in our entry  way!

Messy Entry Way

I mean, just look at this mess…dead wreath on the door from Christmas (shameful), dead leaves floating across the floor, a basket full of flip flops and boots (which makes no sense at all), an old chest full of books just taking up space, a bunch of coats and jackets we aren’t using now and some stuff I had thrown up on the shelf.  Blah, blah, blah.

Painting a yellow bench to give it new life

I started by grabbing a bench that I had put in our garage some time ago.  It was mustard colored and didn’t really fit with the look I was going for.

Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint from Home Depot

I grabbed my favorite furniture paint, Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint in a pretty light yellow shade.  You can find this paint online at Home Depot.

I painted my bench and cleared out all of the junk and wintery blahness from the entry way. Then I placed my pretty yellow bench inside of our front door. I added a couple of chevron pillows that I already had and placed the shoe basket under the bench with only spring shoes.

Burlap Wrapped Canvas Stenciled Key Holder

I decided to hang my  key holder above the coat rack so the keys weren’t just thrown up there and also added a candle so when you enter our home you are greeted with the sweet smell of lemons and coconut.

Ivy plant

I love live plants, so I also added an ivy plant…doesn’t it just scream spring?

Brightly Colored Entry Way for Spring from mom4real.com

I also added a Kimberly Queen Fern in a yellow pot to finish off the space. It immediately made our entry way feel light, fresh and welcoming!  Bring on spring!

Thanks so much for having me back month after month! I hope you are inspired to bring a little spring into your home as well!

I love the spring touches, but I really, really love the color of the doors! Makes me want to paint mine blue!

Your entryway looks so great! Can you tell me the name of this yellow color? Is it the Delicate one? I’m trying to figure out which Chalky yellow to use, and it’s so tough to figure out from looking online. I’m wanting a buttery yellow. Thanks!
