The 2014 Winter Olympics are just around the corner, so I’m here to show you how make confetti gold medals.
These would be great for an Olympics themed party or lots of fun for a class treat. Or, if you’re like me, just make them for the kids to enjoy during the opening ceremonies. They are crazy easy to make!
Gold wrapping paper
Confetti (or make your own with some red, white, & blue tissue paper)
Red, white, & blue ribbon
Glue stick
Circle cutter (not necessary, but makes the job easier if you have one)
Scissors
Double over a square piece of wrapping paper and cut a 4 inch circle using a circle cutter.Cut a 10 -12 inch piece of ribbon.
Secure ribbon with glue to the inside of one of the gold circles.
Dab glue around the edge of the circle, leaving a 2 inch opening at the top. Allow glue to dry.
Once dry, stuff with confetti and secure opening with glue.
Allow glue to completely dry.
What a fun way to celebrate the Olympic Games! Go team USA!!
What a cute idea!
This is so cute and fun!! Kids will love it!! Pinning 🙂
Crystal, thanks for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to share these with the kids! xoxo Tauni
This is AWESOME!!! I am so gonna use them. We are doing a 3 month long Olympic event in Sunday School and after school is out we are going to have a field day as our closing ceremonies at which we are having a medal ceremony. I think I will fill them with candy. Fun and cute. Thanks for the idea.
Glad you liked them Lori! xoxo Tauni
