One Word Goal Challenge

Ahhh. January 1. It’s that time of year again. New Year’s Resolutions, big goals, coupled with big expectations…

I feel so inspired and determined when setting goals, but feel frustrated and defeated when they are challenged and/or not met. Anyone with me?

A couple of years ago, my friend Lara invited me to create a one word goal for the year. Selecting a central theme for the year really worked for me. It made the goal more tangible, and even more importantly, it was DOable. Gone were the feelings of guilt and remorse over New Year’s resolutions not met.

This year, I thought it would be fun to issue a one word challenge (#onewordchallenge) to all of my online friends.

I asked 30 blogger friends to join me in kicking off this adventure and set a one word goal themselves. They will be sharing their goals here on the blog (as well as on their own sites) throughout January. I am hoping you will join us!

Are you ready?!?!

One Word Goal Challenge

Select Your Word.

If you’re new to the idea of a one word goal, it’s really pretty simple. You simply select one word to focus on for the duration of the year.

Ask yourself, “What’s the one thing I can focus on that will lift my life + make everything else easier or unnecessary?”

Your word can be soft + subtle or bold and bright. Regardless, select a word to serve as the driving force for how you want to live your life + that you can FOCUS on EVERY DAY, all year long.
