One Word Goal: That’s What Che Said

Hello friends! My name is Cheryl and I live over at That’s What Che Said.

As you can see from my photo above, I am a mom of THREE BOYS! My oldest is 8, my second is 4 and my newest addition, who I refer to as Spangenbaby, joined us in July of 2014. I am honored to be here today to share with you my word for 2015 and share a bit of me with you as well.

My word is ENJOY. I don’t remember much about my previous pregnancy because I had a 3 year old running around, an hour commute (each way) and a full time job. My husband travelled for his job weeks on end and often I was left to be the mom and the dad, which included shoveling a bazillion feet of snow in Minnesota winters. Thinking back I can hardly recall my pregnancy.

Spangenbaby was a long awaited addition to our family. I had 5 miscarriages before he finally stuck and decided to hang on for the ride! When we realized he was going to be a sticky baby, it was the first time in YEARS that I put everything on the back burner. I just took things day by day and really took the time to enjoy this fantastic miracle!

Of course we all know how fast kids grow. I sat there one night, holding this precious baby boy and couldn’t help but remember the late nights with my oldest. He was now 8 and I remember how I enjoyed every single minute of him…until things got busy in life! That moment then is when I chose my word. Enjoy.

This year I will ENJOY the heck out of life and these three wonderful gifts from God and my wonderful husband who puts up with all sorts of my crazy!

I will not fret over blog posts or trying to host all sorts of Pinterest parties. I will focus and ENJOY life with my three troublemakers! As I enjoy them, they enjoy me. Burying my face in my laptop stressing about posts and projects is not a way that I should ENJOY their childhoods! They go by so fast!
