One Word Goal: Laura’s Crafty Life

Hello Snap readers! My name is Laura and I blog over at Laura’s Crafty Life. There you will find craft tutorials, DIY projects and tips on getting your home and life organized. I am so happy to be here sharing my one word goal for 2015!

My word for 2015 is ‘Create’. This may seem like a strange word to choose for a craft blogger since my job is to create every day. However, because creating is my job, I sometimes feel like I have lost sight of why I started my blog in the first place – I love to make things and share these ideas with others.

However, sometimes, when your job is also your hobby and the thing you love to do most, it can become more of a chore than anything else. It no longer holds that magic you once knew it to. I sometimes feel like my imagination and creativity get stuck. So, I am making it a priority to create not just for blog posts, but also for myself.

I also chose the word create because I want to be sure I am creating the life I want to live. The days pass by so quickly and an entire year can go by and you are in the same place as you started, or not moving in the direction you had hoped. I love this quote by Peter Drucker:

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

This year I am going to work on creating the life I want to live. And by being intentional in my choices and time, I hope to create a wonderful, fulfilling future full of happiness and joy. I’ve written an entire post about my one word goal, and you can find it on my site here.
