Hi! I’m Angel with FleeceFun.com. My website features free sewing patterns and fun DIY tutorials. I love the idea of having a word as guiding point or compass for the year. 2014 was a good year for me (I took control of my health and lost 30 pounds) and I can’t wait to see what 2015 will bring!
My word for 2015 is “Go.” Admittedly “Go” is a prosaic word, but so often I allow an equally banal word – “stop” – hold me back. It’s time to stop dreaming, stop wishing, it’s time to go! It’s amazing how much meaning a two letter word can have.
Go is used in many wonderful phrases when you think about it. “We are Go for takeoff”, “Good to go” or one of my favorite scriptures contains the phrase “I will go and do.” Go means definitive action. It’s time to Go!
I often over think things, constantly reediting in my head before I speak, feeling like everything needs to be perfect before I can let it be seen. But so often that puts me into a permanent holding pattern. 2015 is my year to go.
Do you have a word of the year? I would love to hear what it is and why you chose it!
I love that Angel chose “go” for 2015. It’s such a powerful word and one that requires action. Have you visited Fleece Fun yet? She has some pretty amazing sewing tutorials. Stop by for a vist and check them out!
