Hi friends! Kimberly from A Night Owl here, and I’m so excited to be back with you today sharing another fun holiday craft! Last month I took a break from crafts and shared a yummy Caramel Macchiato Popsicle recipe with you because ohhhh how I love popsicles and Summertime! But equally during this time of year I adore Patriotic projects! And this one is no exception. I got together with some of my favorite blog friends a few weeks ago for a fun Patriotic Party. One of my favorite crafts for the setup was this DIY Patriotic Ribbon Bunting! It’s the perfect {and easiest} DIY that will add some fun and festive red, white and blue to your party decor!
What you’ll need:
- Spools of patriotic ribbon
- Baker’s twine
- Glue gun/glue
And the steps:
- Cut your ribbon into lengths, twice as long as you want your bunting to be.
- I wanted my bunting to be about 3″ long, so I cut each piece to about 6″.
- Fold each piece of ribbon in half and about a centimeter down from the middle fold, and add a dot of glue.
- Press together until ribbon is fused, leaving a loop at the top.
- Repeat this process with each piece of ribbon.
- Then thread a long piece of baker’s twine through the loops, alternating your ribbon designs for variety.
So very easy but the result is unbelievably cute and versatile!
You can use this bunting for party decor – like I did here…
Or you could add it as decoration to a red wagon for your BBQ, party or parade! So many uses…
