We don’t know about you, but we’re absolutely creatures of habit. Left to our own devices, we’d probably spend every single Anaheim night in the same hotel. Fortunately or unfortunately for us, we sometimes miss out on booking our favorite Disneyland area hotel so we’ve tried quite a few. Today we’re sharing information about the Fairfield Inn Anaheim Resort – located directly across the street from Disneyland.
We’ve talked about a couple other hotels across the street from Disneyland, including the CLOSEST hotel to Disneyland, as well as the best hotel for larger families near the Park. The Fairfield Inn provides some good middle ground between the two.
We toured this room with our travel partner Get Away Today.

How to get the best deal on a hotel right across the street from Disneyland?
As out-of-state passholders, we’ve stayed in more than our fair share of Anaheim-area hotels – from luxury accommodations to basic, but close. We tend to stick to hotels within walking distance, particularly those within our “magic triangle.”
We get asked all of the time how we can possibly afford to hold an annual pass, travel from Utah every six weeks and stay in nicer hotels. Well, it’s not exactly a secret. We plan ahead, look for deals and book all of our hotel stays through our travel partner Get Away Today.
The Fairfield Inn runs slightly higher than other hotels of the same caliber, due to its location across the street from Disneyland. The hotel fills up fast. We recommend booking this hotel four to six months minimum before your stay.

Where is the Fairfield Inn Anaheim Resort located?
It doesn’t get much closer to Disneyland than the Fairfield Inn. This hotel is located directly across the street from Disneyland. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the Park’s main gate.
What are the rooms like at the Fairfield Inn, located across the street from Disneyland?
The Fairfield Inn Anaheim Resort, operated by Marriott, is a 427 room, five suite resort. Though there are hundreds of rooms, you’ve got to book this hotel early. It often fills up months in advance.
At just under 230 square-feet, the rooms at the Fairfield Inn are on the smaller side. The furniture is well-placed, as a result the rooms don’t feel overly tight with a small family. We toured the Two Queen Standard Room, which sleeps five, and the King, Sofa Bed Standard, which sleeps three.
The Fairfield underwent renovations in 2017. We loved the hard surface floors that were installed (so much cleaner!), as well as the fun touches of Disney that adorn the walls.
Hotel staff talked up the “sleep well” beds, so of course we tried them out…Though we didn’t take these beds for a full night’s spin, they were comfortable to sit and lay down on.
We can’t say the same for the single sleeper. The chair itself was not incredibly comfortable to sit on and has a very thin mattress (pretty standard for a fold out!).
The rooms features a small alcove with a hanging rod, along with several storage drawers. A mini fridge and coffee maker are tucked into open storage.
A small, but serviceable bathroom with a tub/shower combo completes the room (sure wish there was a walk in shower option). The vanity sits outside of the bathroom, so more than one person can get ready at a time.
What amenities does the Fairfield Inn Anaheim Resort offer guests?
As with many of the hotels across the street from Disneyland, the key selling feature for this hotel is proximity. It’s closer than the Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier. The amenities at this hotel are much more limited than some of the other newer hotels, located nearby.
Are rocking chairs an amenity? If they are then the Fairfield Inn wins. We found these fun, oversized Mickey and Minnie rockers right outside the hotel lobby. They’d be the perfect spot to wait for friends, family or an Uber!
Hotel Store
This hotel has a small store, stocked with tons of Disney merchandise and a handful of basic sundries.
Game Room
The Fairfield Inn has a small game room for kids (or the young at heart) that includes a fair number of arcade games and air hockey. There is a charge for the games, similar to any other arcade.
Pool
The hotel has a decent pool area with a small hot tub that’s available to guests.
Food Court
A small food court is located near the arcade. The area is host to a Pizza Hut and coffee shop. Unfortunately, the space closed during COVID and had not opened back up when we visited.
Though the hotel’s food court is closed, there are several quick service options located nearby, including a McDonald’s, Panera and Mimi’s Cafe.
Would we stay at the Fairfield Inn Anaheim Resort, located across the street from Disneyland?
The Fairfield Inn provides a clean, basic place to stay with light Disney theming and few amenities.
We like the Fairfield Inn, better than the closest hotel to Disneyland. It’s likely we’d select this hotel for a short, overnight stay. However for a bit more, we’d prefer to stay at this Marriott luxury resort.
