The other day my friend , sent me a copy of her new book, CraftFail: When Homemade Goes Terribly Wrong. I am so excited to share a quick peek inside and an affiliate link to Amazon, where the book can be purchased.
Before I read it and collapsed in a fit of giggles, I couldn’t help but think how very lucky I am to have such incredibly talented friends in my life.
I first met Heather five years ago. It didn’t take me long to realize this was a girl with an eye for inexpensive, indie-style craft projects like those featured on her popular blog, , and a flair for finding humor, even in the face of a serious .
Really a book like this from Heather was inevitable!
CraftFail
And, lest you think I’ve never had a craft fail of my own, let’s chat while we scroll…
I started my journey in creative chaos at a very young age, finger painting with butter on the carpet as a toddler. In junior high I stepped it up and decided to “layer” my own hair. While in college I melted chocolate all over my mom’s oven while trying to make a dessert to impress.
Something sort of like these melted marshmallow disasters…
Ask my family for a funny story, a little dirt, some blackmail material and it’s likely you’re going to hear about an epic craft fail.
And, though I’ve never had a string art disaster…
I still bare scars from the last time I used the hot glue gun.
Needless to say, I continue to “nail it” to this day. I suppose that’s why I am so drawn to CraftFail
and these cute little turkeys…maybe I will try my hand at them in a few weeks…
This holiday season, before you take that finger knitted monstrosity to the white elephant party or wrap a gift for your bestie, consider buying CraftFail: When Homemade Goes Terribly Wrong
. Not only will you arrive with the perfect gift, but you’ll also secure the evening’s entertainment, all for under $10!
Thank you so much, Tauni!
