SYTYC is a head-to-head crafting competition. Every 10 weeks a new group of bloggers and creative entrepreneurs are selected to compete in a weekly themed challenge and YOU vote for your favorite. The weekly winner shares a free tutorial for the project and the loser gets “sent home.”
While voting is open the projects will remain anonymous. The crafters are revealed at the end of each week when the winner is announced.
Auditioning for SYTYC couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is fill out the SYTYC application. Your application will be reviewed by our team and you will be notified if you’ve been accepted or not via email.

I am Tauni, your host for SYTYC. It’s so nice to meet you!Â
I am a former public relations executive who spent 12+ years handling communications and events for an array of clients, from the NBA and Olympics to buy essays online numerous high ranking politicians. I’ve spent time pitching sports in France and waking up early in New York to visit the Today Show. I even had a side gig writing for the local newspaper for a while.
In 2009, after blogging for about two years, I refocused my career to spend more time at home in Salt Lake City.
Today I maintain a personal lifestyle blog and run a conference for creative bloggers and entrepreneurs called Snap. I share tips for bloggers on the Snap Conference site.
I took over SYTYC in 2013 from Missy, who first developed the concept and ran the site for years. You call still find her online at Missy Dear.
While I am busy, I still spend more than my fair share of time reading social media studies, wandering the aisles of home improvement and fabric stores and obsessing over reality tv show’s like HGTV’s Design Star.
I hope you enjoy the fantastic crafts that are presented and appreciate the hard work that went into creating them. Just remember, projects and tutorials are for personal use only, not for resale or re-distribution without written consent from their creator.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any comments, concerns, questions, theme ideas or if you’re interested in competing in a future “season.” I’d love to hear from you!
